Minister Dimitri Shashkini met the Rector of Friedrich Schiller University Jena and other representatives of the university.  During the meeting, the parties discussed the ongoing reforms in Georgian education system, mutual cooperation and exchange programs among the Georgian and German universities, organizing joint educational events.

Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Friedrich Schiller University Jena have been cooperating for 45 years. The universities carry out joint programs; Tbilisi State University is running a program at Economy and Business Faculty that envisages an internship in Friedrich Schiller University Jena.

Together with the Minister, the Rector of Tbilisi State University, academic staff and other representatives of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University took part in the above mentioned meeting.

In the frame of the delegation’s visit, an international conference will be organized.
