The new national curriculum for 2011-2016 has already been developed for and introduced at the primary level (I-VI) of education at Georgian general educational institutions. In the 2012-2013 academic year, it will be implemented at the basic and secondary education levels.

Implementation of the new national curriculum for the primary level of non-Georgian schools will begin with the 2012-2013 academic year; as for the basic and secondary levels at non-Georgian schools, the curriculum will be introduced in the 2013-2014 academic year. 

Subject experts and teachers were actively involved in the development of this new curriculum for national minorities.

Translating the nation curriculum into the languages of the national minorities will contribute to the integration of the national minorities into the common educational space. In addition to this, non-Georgian schoolchildren will be able to acquire knowledge according to the unified standards.
