The famous Italian industrial designer Giorgetto Giugiauro gave a lecture in the Georgian Technical University. He shared his experience and talked about the ways of success.

It was decided to open the first International School of Design and Architecture in the Caucasus region, on the basis of Georgian Technical University. Lectures will be given by the Georgian and foreign professors, as well as the representatives from Giugiauro’s school.

New school will provide Bachelor’s/Master’s programs in such fields as the industrial design, communication, advertising, furniture and interior design, transport design, graphic and decorative design. Students will have a chance to   pass internship programs in Italy and the most successful students will be able to take Government scholarships for Master’s programs in Italy.

School will be under the patronage of Giorgetto Giugiauro, who has created more than 50 models of automobiles, among them are Ferrari and Lamborghini. He has also worked for Nikon, Apple and Marille.

By the initiative of the President, Georgian universities are eligible to recruit foreign professors and teachers. The aim of this program is to develop relations with manufacture and business spheres. To support this process Government of Georgian will grant one million GEL to each Georgian higher education institution that recruits foreign academic personnel.
