Brazilian Senator Cristovam Buarque is paying a visit to Georgia. In the scope of the visit, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia hosted the Brazilian Senator and introduced him to Georgia’s current education reforms.
In particular, the Minister discussed reforms implemented in the fields of general, vocational and higher education. The guest expressed great interest in programs on students’ employment and free trainings in English and professional orientation. The Senator was also familiarized with Georgia's new vocational education voucher based financing system.
Senator Buarque positively commented on the ongoing developments in the sphere of education and expressed the willingness for further cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia in order to share experience.
