Minister Dimitri Shashkini met with the Deputy Minister of Education and Research of Norway, Elisabet Dahle, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Georgia and Turkey, Mr. Erling Skønsberg.  The Norwegian guests visited Georgia to attend an international conference on inclusive education.

All key issues of inclusive education currently existing in the Georgian education system, including Georgia's successful steps in the direction of complete inclusion, were discussed at the meeting.

According to the Minister, the rights of children with special educational needs are protected, and different programs implemented by the Ministry serve to achieve this goal.

On 29-30 March, the international conference on inclusive education will be organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and Research of Norway; inclusive education issues and current programs and projects will be discussed at the conference.
