On the same day, Professor Heuer was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor for his contribution in developing a close and productive scientific partnership with Tbilisi State University, while Professor Matveev was granted a certificate of appreciation.

The topic of Prof. Heuer’s lecture was fundamental researches undertaken by CERN, Prof. Matveev discussed ongoing research projects implemented at JINR in his lecture.

Prof. Heuer has an extensive experience in Experiments and Research; he has been holding leading positions at CERN.

Prof. Matveev has been a member of JINR for years, he is the author of 300 scientific articles, and recipient of numerous awards.

The lecture was attended by First Deputy Minister, Koka Sepherteladze, rector of TSU Alexandre Kvitashvili, students and professors of different universities.
