Teachers’ Professional development Center carries out school decentralization policy. The new concept is based on this principle.

The document implies renewal and development of teachers professional standards based on a study of teachers’ needs. Besides, the concept reflects methods of professional development for the teachers starting their career, promotion of lifelong learning and career growth, increase in level of school management and quality of education etc.

The concept was worked out by the consultants of Teacher’s House. More than 100 teachers from Tbilisi and regions attended the discussion. Teachers’ Professional Development Center plans to hold discussions on the concept with teachers from other regions as well. Only after this process renewed strategy and action plan will be elaborated.
