The Memorandum deals with strengthening and developing existing ties within the framework of Academic exchange program (Fulbright) intended for students and researchers. The Memorandum will contribute to the exchange of students and scientists on all levels of education and in all fields of educational /scientific research. Cooperation between the state and private educational institutions, educational and scientific-research institutes and universities of the two countries will be strengthened. 

Fulbright program is one of the most important programs by the government of the United States of America for Georgian students and scientists. In the process of implementing the memorandum of understanding, American side will ensure the monitoring of financing process, management and implementation of ‘Fulbright Program’ in Georgia.

Fulbright scholarship program started in 1946. Within the framework of the program, thousands of scientists developed professional relations with their counterparts in the USA, implemented joint researches, published scientific publications etc.
