Founder and Director of Great Britain Buckswood School Giles Sutton familiarized with the course of the Program “Intensified Teaching of English Language” initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.   The aim of the expert’s visit is to observe and assess the Project which is carried out by Buckswood School Tbilisi in partnership with Great Britain Buckswood School.

Today, Lia Gigauri, Head of General Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Giles Sutton, Buckswood School Director got familiar with the following activities of the second group: academic part - Slice of Britain, this class covers teaching of English language, culture and traditions; Sports part – traditional British cricket; creative part – Summer School Anthem competition, face painting etc.

“Intensified Teaching of English Language Program” has been carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia for several years. Project beneficiaries are 9^th, 10^th and 11^th graders selected based on the third tour results of the Olympiads and basic knowledge of English Language. In total 600 pupils divided in 4 groups participate in the Program. Best 32 pupils (8 from each group) will travel to the Great Britain to 2-week English Language Summer School. The Ministry shall bear the costs.
