In the future, such staffs will be established in every public school. Together with the process of establishment of staffs, twice a year similar measures of evacuation will be carried out in every public school, for the purpose of increasing awareness of pupils, teachers and directorate in the issues of emergency situation management.   

From today, in 11 pilot schools 11 resource officers will be retrained in the management of emergency situations which will help them to work even more effectively, protect pupils during emergency situations and ensure their safety.

Emergency Situations Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in its turn, in the framework of “Civil safety in schools and kindergartens”, in scale of Tbilisi and regions, is carrying out similar practical exercises in schools and kindergartens, for the purpose of increasing awareness in the sphere of civil safety.

The goal of the measures of such type is to ensure preparedness of pupils and personnel, during emergency situations, also, it is necessary to improve theoretical knowledge and practical skills for coordinated reactions on incidents.
