Unified consolidated strategy with the purpose of continuous educational system implementation was prepared by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. New model of preschool education is becoming a part of this very strategy and kindergarten is an implementation body for this. Kindergartens are under the control of local self governance. It is important that educational environment and resources should be provided in preschool educational institutions by the local self government bodies to ensure appropriate preparation of children to the school education.
Effective collaboration between the Ministry and local self governance is very important for the successful implementation of school readiness program. During the meeting necessary issues for successful implementation of school readiness program were discussed. It is necessary to correctly distribute functions and separate responsibilities. Also, communication between the Ministry and local self governance is very important.
Preschool education is most important stage in the development of pupil. During this stage all main skills are formed which then are used by the kid, in school or, generally, in the course of whole life. During a preschool period development of those important components is going which ensure kid's readiness for school. When a pupil is sufficiently developed with regard of school readiness, he/she is much more successful in following stages of education (school, higher education, etc.) and this mostly determine pupil's progress during a life.
Attendees of Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration as employees of local self governance, should be actively involved in qualitative and successful implementation of preschool educational reform.
