Within the framework of students social program, receiving applications for bachelor degree higher education program funding has been started. Concerning the mentioned issue, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Tamar Sanikidze held a briefing.

For academic year of 2015-2016, for social program budget of 2 520 000 GEL (two million five hundred and twenty thousand) is allocated, which will finance the studying of about 1400 students.

In order to gain state funding, the applications along with all attached necessary documents should be submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia or at relevant territorial authority – Resource Center until 2 October, 2015.

All the students enrolled at one of the accredited universities, who satisfy following list of criteria will be funded: living in the mountainous and ecological migration zones, living on the territory of occupied regions, ethnic minorities living in Georgia, children of the individuals died in war, descendants of Santskhe-Javakheti deportees, orphans, students from large families, people with disabilities,

Within the framework of social program, students enrolled at any accredited higher educational programs on the basis of the results of National Entrance exams in 2013 and 2014, and are registered at the database of socially vulnerable families and their rating points are equal to or less than 70 000, will be funded as well.
