In order to increase  the popularisation of Georgian army and patriotic aspiration among youth, Ministry of Education and Science with the assistance of Ministry of Defence of Georgia, has launched the competition.

Under the competition, they prepared the video for commemorating the heroes of  2008 August War , where they expressed their attitude towards these heroes.

Today, Deputy of Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Ms. Lia GiGauri, Deputy of General Headquarter of Georgian Armed forces, colonel  Mr. Roman Jokhadze, and coconel Malkhaz Makaradze, awarded the pupils and teachers.

The winners of the competition “Contemporary Heroes’ are :

First Place winners: pupils of Gori #11 public school, Lika Vanishvili adn Natia Mazmishvili, they were given gift cards and diplomas.

Second place : The pupils of Schools named after Holy Tamar , Tamar Samxaradze and Saba amanatishvili.

Third place: pupils of Aketi public Schools from the Lanchkhuti Municipality , Mariam Dolidze, Ketevan Abashidze, Guga Tsintsadze, Nika Chkhaidze, they were given diplomas and gift cards.
