Minister of Science and Education of Georgia hosted the Children with special educational needs and their teachers. On the meeting  Ms.Tamar Sanikidze presented new materials published for them and talked about the projects which are implemented to assist that category of pupils. Also she talked about such projects that will help them integrate in social life.

After the presentation new year performance was made by the Faliashvili musical school and  actors of Georgian pantomime theatre .Within the party, pupils were given new-year presents.

In  2015 the main aim of Ministry of Science and Education of Georgia was to increase accessibility of education for the children who have hearing defects. In 2015 for the Blind children were made assistant relief manuals in chemistry and biology. With the existing manuals they will have possibility to sense the figures published in manuals. Analogous teaching material was never available for our pupils, this is the first case when blind children can taught the elements and bodies that was existed only in their perception.

Considerable steps were made for the development of children who have hearing defects. In the professional centre of teacher development was created the training for parents in gesticulation. They have possibilities to teach the gesticulation language free of charge and made communication easily with their children.  Also  organisation ‘Child, Family, Society’ created the project ‘reading for the better future’ , with the aid of USAID was formed the methodology, that implies the collection educational resources  for such children.
