Honorary doctorate degree awarding ceremony was held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. According to the decree of the Academic Council, the title of honorary doctor was awarded to the professors of Athens, Cambridge, London and Berlin for promotion of popularization of Georgia and the exclusive contribution to introduce the Georgian culture to the international community. Together with the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, the event was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava, TSU Rector Giorgi Sharvadze and Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia Mikheil Giorgadze. As soon as the awarding ceremony was over, the professors delivered the public lectures.
