Mikheil Chkhenkeli – the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia held a meeting with Fadia Saadah – the Director of Global Practice of Health, Nutrition and Population of the World Bank.

At the meeting Mikheil Chkhenkeli emphasized the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry and the World Bank for improving the quality of education, which was further enhanced in vocational and higher education in recent months.

Fadia Saadah and other representatives of the World Bank have informed the Minister about the reforms in regard to the Higher Education Funding System in Georgia, which will be finalized by the end of September. The Minister of Education and Science expressed hope that these recommendations regarding the optimization of the higher education system will significantly contribute to the strategic goals set in the sector.
