Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli held an important meeting with the United States Assistant Secretary of State for Education and Culture - Marie Royce. During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects of further cooperation between the two countries in regard to science and education.

The Minister expressed his gratitude towards Marie Royce, for numerous projects that are supported by the government of the United States of America. Additionally, the minister spoke about the achievements attained by the Millennium Challenge Fund.

According to Marie Royce, the United States government bestows an immense importance to the development of education and science in Georgia. She further explained, that Georgia plays a crucial role by carrying out various joint projects such as the Fulbright Program, San Diego State University, and others.
