On January 10-15 of the current year, 82
teams from 18 countries participated in Zhautikov Olympiad held in Almaty,
Kazakhstan. Amongst the participating teams were Tbilisi Komarov and Vekua
schools, as well as Razmadze Physics and Mathematical school in Kutaisi.
Georgia brought home, 4 gold, 3 silver and
3 bronze medals in individual and team competitions. Gold medals were awarded
to the following participants: Birkadze Nika - absolute first place and the
only absolute result in all three subjects, 600 points of of 600 available
points (Informatics-komarov), Mushkudiani Luka (mathematics - komarov),
Gamzardashvili Bakari (mathematics - komarov), Merabishvili Alexander (Physics
- Komarov ).
Silver medals were given to by Nika Salia
(Informatics-Vekua), Toloraia Temur (Informatics - Komarov), and Koroshinadze
Lasha (Physics-Komarov).
Bronze
Medals were awarded: Giorgi Dzadzamia (Physics-Vekua), David Khvedelidze
(Mathematics-Komarov), and Gogaberishvili George (Physics-Komarov).

Lomidze. Vekua School - Giorgi Bakhtadze, Lasha Kapanadze. Razmadze School -

Participation in the International Training Olympiads of
Georgia was carried out within the framework of the "International
Training Olympiads" sub-program with the financial support of the Ministry
of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.
