Public Board, established by the initiative of the Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini discussed the draft plan of teachers’ professional ethics code. Opinions and notes of the members of the board will be considered in the final version of the code.

Teachers’ professional ethics code regulates norms of behavior of the teachers of general educational institutions. Code evaluates teachers’ professional competency level and assists them in directing ethical activities. It is binding for the schoolchildren, parents/legal representatives, teachers and other employees at school.

In order to improve educational process, schools should develop ethical and healthy relations among the participants of the educational process as well as offer the school children high quality education.

Different working groups have already met to discuss teachers’ professional ethics code. In order to finalize this code, similar meetings are planned with members of the board, Advisory Board and the representatives of society.
