The official visit of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli to London continues.

During  his visit, the Minister met with the leadership of the world's largest international educational company - McMillan.

The Minister briefed the McMillan leadership on the introduction of e-books, which will significantly improve the teaching-learning process at Georgian schools, thus leading the Ministry to a qualitatively new stage. The advantage of digital textbooks lies in broader access to multimedia interactive resources such as self-assessment tests, virtual labs, and other applications.

Firstly, the Ministry plans to digitalize Georgian textbooks in mathematics and science in a pilot mode. Subsequently, a competition will be announced to select only the best textbooks. The concept has been well received by McMillan's leadership, pledging to take an active part in the competition, if necessary.

Mikheil Chkhenkeli, who is on an official visit to London, is participating in the World Education Forum. The forum hosts more than 1,200 delegates from 95 countries, allowing the delegates to discuss challenges in the field of education, ways to solve them, new approaches and implementing various strategies. The main theme of the forum is the formation of a long-term vision of education in a rapidly changing world.
