Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli congratulates Tbilisi State Medical University on its 91^st anniversary.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Education Coalition to strengthen children's rights, teachers and access to education.

Ekaterine Dgebuadze, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, remotely participated in the conference dedicated to the 25^th anniversary of the Hague Recommendations on the Rights of Education of National Minorities. 

Kutaisi International University hosted the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili. The Prime Minister together with the Minister of Education and Science, Mikheil Chkhenkeli inspected the infrastructure of the university, which includes state-of-the-art academic buildings, libraries, cafeterias, well-equipped sports and road infrastructure, common workspaces, student dormitories, as well as accommodation. The Prime Minister also visited the site where the Hadron Therapy Centre is to be built.

The presentation of the joint study of the European Training Foundation (ETF) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) "Inclusive Skills for Development of Innovative Enterprises in the Agricultural Sector after COVID-19" was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science.

According to the decision of UNESCO, Tbilisi has been declared the World Book Capital for one year. In this regard, the intellectual club "What? Where? When? held an event on the topic: “Book, us and the environment”.

Fun and informative online events were held at schools to inform the students about the opportunities of vocational education and different professions.

Two weeks before the end of the 2020-2021 school year, schools are still being actively monitored for the safe environment, in conjunction with testing teachers on Covid-19 to prevent the spread of the virus.

The ceremony of awarding German language diplomas - DSD was held at Tbilisi Public School No. 21, which was attended by the Minister of Education and Science, Mikheil Chkhenkeli and the German Ambassador to Georgia Hubert Knirsch. This year, 39 DSD-diplomas were issued, which means that 90% of the students passed the exam successfully.
