In order to popularize and promote vocational education, the Ministry of Education and Science continues to study the needs of vocational colleges in the regions of Georgia.

It is important that, along with representatives of the Ministry, representatives of local governments and the private sector are actively involved in this process, assessing the needs of the vocations that are most in demand in the particular region.

For this purpose, Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, together with the Governor of Imereti, Majoritarian MPs, representatives of local self-governments and the private sector, inspected Iberia College in Baghdati and provided information about the educational process and their needs to students and teachers.

All parties, together with the Ministry, will be actively involved in the action plan, which will give the college even more opportunities for development in the future. This will contribute to the program development of the college, as well as business promotion and employment of college graduates, which will ultimately have a positive impact on the region's economy.

Special attention is paid to the creation of a short-term and long-term development plan for the Baghdati training base. Programs are introduced in agriculture, tourism, information technology, automotive services, engineering, etc. It is also planned to introduce short-term programs in these areas.

Vocational education is one of the main priorities of the Ministry. Accordingly, the Ministry pays special attention to the development of regional training bases of vocational colleges with the active involvement of the private sector, so that, on the one hand, vocational education is available in all regions or municipalities of Georgia, and on the other hand, the active involvement of the private sector employs as many graduates as possible.
