A meeting was held at the residence of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Hubert Knirsch regarding the involvement of Germany in the field of vocational education in Georgia. The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Tamar Kitiashvili and representatives of various private sector associations, discussed measures taken to support vocational education in our country during the pandemic, further steps and future cooperation with Germany.

Tamar Kitiashvili thanked the Ambassador for several important projects implemented in the field of vocational education in our country with the support of Germany and paid special attention to the results achieved by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). It is with the support of GIZ that a dual model of German teaching has been introduced in the Georgian vocational education system, which is being successfully implemented and developed today.

Hubert Knirsch, for his part, reaffirmed his readiness to support the Georgian education system and spoke with Hans-Jürgen Kassen, Director of GIZ's Private Sector Development and Vocational Education in the South Caucasus, about opportunities for expanding cooperation in vocational education and new joint projects.
