Organized by the Georgian Association of Private Colleges, the "Third National Conference of Professional Teachers and Students" was held to introduce innovative methods of teaching and assessment in vocational education and to share best practices. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Tamar Kitiashvili, participated in the conference.
The papers presented at the conference focused on innovations related to teaching in vocational education and aimed to share innovations and insights, discuss the challenges of distance learning and discuss best practices. The invited jury evaluated the reports presented by the professional teachers at the private colleges.
According to Tamar Kitiashvili, such events are important for sharing experiences between colleges and presenting the findings of professionals from different fields. The continuous development of professional teachers is an important precondition for the implementation of the reform.
The conference was also attended by: Tamar Makharashvili, Director of the National Center for Quality Development in Education, Mariam Kuchuloria, Deputy Director General of the European Business Association, Magda Bolotashvili, Deputy Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, National Center for Quality Development, partners, teachers and students.
The Association of Private Colleges of Georgia unites 40 colleges operating throughout Georgia and its goal is to promote and popularize vocational education.
