The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, accompanied by State Trustee in Guria, Giorgi Urushadze, personally inspected the ongoing renovation efforts at Lanchkhuti's inaugural public school.
The comprehensive restoration of the school building is being overseen by the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency of LSU as part of an unprecedented large-scale project endorsed by Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili.
The renovation, valued at 5 million GEL, adheres to construction norms and utilizes ecologically friendly materials in accordance with European standards. Upon completion, the school will feature state-of-the-art science and computer laboratories, a gym, library, canteen, resource room, and a medical facility, in addition to classrooms. The school is designed to be fully accessible for individuals with disabilities, incorporating an elevator, adapted sanitary facilities, and a ramp. It will also be equipped with all necessary learning resources and equipment.
This infrastructure project is slated to conclude by the end of 2024, ensuring that over 600 students at Lanchkhuti's first public school can continue their education in a fully adapted facility with modern educational infrastructure.
