"In order to ensure universal access to preschool education and create an inclusive environment, intensive efforts are ongoing" stated Giorgi Amilakhvari, candidate for the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, during a parliamentary session attended by the committees on education, science, youth affairs, culture, sports, health protection, and social affairs. 

Giorgi Amilakhvari emphasized that work on the concept of diversified preschool education is underway and will persist. This concept entails developing services tailored to the needs of various groups, including those in urban settlements and municipalities inhabited by small families and ethnic minorities in highland regions. 

The ministerial candidate also highlighted the state's commitment to fully finance higher education programs in preschool education and to continue the ongoing reform in early childhood education. He mentioned that this reform includes the self-assessment and gradual authorization of both public and private kindergartens nationwide, with support for self-assessment provided equally and free of charge to all. 

Furthermore, Giorgi Amilakhvari emphasized the importance of introducing a bilingual education model in early childhood education institutions in non-Georgian-speaking regions. He stated, "To support ethnic minorities and provide them with quality education, the teaching of the state language will be implemented in all kindergartens in regions densely populated with non-Georgian-speaking communities. Additionally, efforts to develop quality educational resources for ethnic minorities will continue actively. Preschool education tailored to the needs of ethnic minorities will enhance school readiness and elevate the quality of the educational process at the general education level."
