A conference was organized in the vocational college “Aisi”, (village of Kachreti, Kakheti) as a part of the Kakheti Development Project initiated by the President of Georgia. Participation of the vocational college “Aisi” in the mentioned project was discussed at the conference.
The conference was attended by the Minister, Dimitri Shashkini, chairperson of the Tourism Department, Maia Sidamonidze, representatives of the Ministry of Justice and local employers.
Kachreti Vocational College is one of the providers of the personnel in the tourism sector; therefore its involvement in the Kakehti Development Project will be of utmost importance.
In the scope of the conference, the students of the college presented the case studies in agro tourism sector to the audience.
Kachreti vocational college is placed in a special complex occupying 12 hectare. It has several buildings: teaching building, dorm, auto repair workshop and wine house. There is also number of workshops for conducting practical work.
The following specialties are offered in the tourism field: hotel management specialist, receptionists, guide (geo-tourism), tour operator (agro-tourism), and cook.
At present, there are 300 students of various nationalities in the college, up to 200 students live in the dorm.
The partner companies express readiness to recruit the best graduates; among them are: “Avangardi”, “Teliani Valley”, “Shukhman Wine Georgia”, “Sakartvelo- Marani”, Corporation” Kindzmarauli”, as well as the hotels in Sighnaghi and other cities in Kakheti region.
