PROCUREMENT OF 2015 TRANCHE SCHOOLS REHABILITATION WORKS

LOT #1 – Akhaltsikhe #1, Gandza and Kartikami PUBLIC SCHOOLS;

LOT #2 – Sakasheti, Zerti and Bebnisi PUBLIC SCHOOLS;

The United States of America, acting through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (“MCC”) and the Government of the Georgia (the “Government”) have entered into a Millennium Challenge Compact for Millennium Challenge Account assistance to help facilitate poverty reduction through economic growth in Georgia (the “Compact”) in the amount of approximately 140,000,000 USD (“MCC Funding”). The Compact and its related documents can be found on the MCC website (www.mcc.gov) and on the website of the Employer www.mcageorgia.ge .

The Employer now invites sealed bids (“Bids”) from eligible Bidders for the execution and completion of the Procurement of 2015 Tranche Schools Rehabilitation Works (Lot 1 – Akhaltsikhe#1, Gandza and Kartikami Public Schools; Lot 2– Sakasheti, Zerti and Bebnisi Public Schools) as follows (“Works”), which are being offered as unit price contracts based on Bill of Quantities (“Works Contract”).

Bidders are allowed, at their option, to submit a Bid for one or both individual Lots under this IFB. To qualify for award of multiple contract the Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence that it meets the aggregate requirements specified in the Bidding Documents. Bidders wishing to offer discount for the award of both contracts shall specify in their Bid the price reduction applicable to each individual Lot they are bidding.

The Works for the rehabilitation of public schools of Georgia include:

A Contractor will be selected using the Competitive Bidding procedures as described in the Bidding Document accompanying this Invitation for Bids.  Bidders are advised that these procedures are governed by MCC Program Procurement Guidelines which can be found on the MCC website. 

A site visit for Lot 2 will be organized. The muster for the site visit is at 9:30 a.m. Georgia time on July 23, 2015 at the following address:

A joint pre-bid meeting for both Lots will be held at 11:00 a.m. Georgian time on July 24, 2015 at the following address:

Attendance is strongly advised for all prospective Bidders or their representatives but is not mandatory.

Bids for both Lots must be delivered to the address given below no later than 3:00 p.m. Georgia time (GMT+4) on August 14, 2015.

Bidders should be aware that distance and customs formalities may require longer than expected delivery time. Late Bids will not be accepted under any circumstances and will be returned unopened at the written request and cost of the Bidder.
