The aim of a subprogram is to motivate students for getting additional information and knowledge in subjects that are provided for by the national educational plan.
LEPL National Examination and Assessment Center has been organizing the national educational Olympiad by order of the Ministry, since 2009. The Olympiad is conducted according to specific grade/grades in the following subjects: Math, Georgian language and literature, Georgian language for students of non-Georgian educational facilities, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, foreign languages (English, German, French, and Russian). In addition to Georgian and foreign languages, the Olympiad is also conducted on Armenian, Azerbaijan and Russian languages. Blind students can also participate in the Olympiad (Braille is used).
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia awards the winners of the Olympiad, their teachers and schools.
