Tbilisi "komarov" Physics-Mathematical boarding school № 199 has become 50. The school celebrated its anniversay with a solemn ceremony in which the representatives of government, international and the private organizations and non-governmental sector participated. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigauri and Tbilisi Mayor Davit Narmania opened the event.
The best results achieved in national school competitions and in national exams, various awards obtained at competitions or conferences of different Rankes, gold, silver and bronze medals at the International Physics and Mathematics Olympiads and honorary diplomas - this is the modest list of school's long-term achievements. The school’s exceptional achievement is its excellent graduates, who are working successfully in Georgia and abroad in science, business or politics.
At the anniversary event, guests had the opportunity to see the exhibition reflecting the achievements of the school and the show specially staged for this event ("Mapping"). The exhibition featured school history, achievements and its plans for the future.
The school has 1050 pupils. Evening and Saturday schools (with intensive teaching of physics, mathematics, informatics, chemistry and biology) are operating, in which up to 2000 pupils are involved on Tbilisi scale and up to 300 pupils in the regional branches. The school has boarding school, where the Ministry of Education and Science Ministry of Finance, 100 school pupils living in regions free of charge.
