All public and private schools in Georgia are on full alert for the renovation of the educational process on January 17.
The Ministry of Education and Science still gives parents the opportunity to choose the form of distance learning, while risk group teachers can, if they wish, conduct lessons remotely.
All recommendations developed by the Ministry of Health will be strictly adhered to in schools for the safety of students, teachers, and school administrators and to avoid any potential problems down the line. If the virus spread is detected, point restrictions will continue.
In case of attendance, students, including grades I-XII, will be required to wear a face mask, while the state will still provide mandatory teacher testing. At this stage, 73% of teachers and school administrators have been vaccinated.
Public schools are provided with hygienic facilities by the Ministry across the country. In particular, organized by the LEPL Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency of the Ministry, general education institutions are provided with appropriate disinfectant solutions, towels, thermal screening devices and disinfection barriers.
Transportation will continue to be provided to students in Tbilisi and the regions as well.
The most important, internationally recognized project of "TV School" will continue running for the students.
Due to safety reasons, the school administration will intensively inform the parents about the organization of the educational process and the sanitary-hygienic norms in the school. The Ministry will continue to monitor schools systematically.
