The Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, along with First Deputy Aleksandre Tsuladze, participated in the 2024 World Government Summit held in Dubai.
During the summit, the minister held a working meeting with Kristina Kala, the Minister of Education and Research of Estonia. Discussions revolved around current and future cooperation between Georgia and Estonia across various educational levels.
Giorgi Amilakhvari expressed gratitude to Kristina Kala for the longstanding and productive collaboration, highlighting Estonia's significant contribution to Georgia's education system development. The conversation also touched on ongoing projects in general education cooperation with Estonia, particularly in supporting the introduction and implementation of the national curriculum.
Giorgi Amilakhvari and his Estonian counterpart discussed expanding existing partnerships in higher education. They emphasized the importance of close cooperation between Estonian higher education institutions and Georgian universities through joint scientific research projects and student exchange programs. Additionally, the parties explored avenues for deepening partnership within the Erasmus program.
In response, the Minister of Education and Research of Estonia expressed appreciation for the close cooperation and pledged support for the implementation of joint educational projects.
