Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, has issued a statement in honor of International Youth Day.
“August 12 is International Youth Day! Our country is joining the international initiative, and together we celebrate this remarkable date, which promotes the education and support of young people worldwide.
I have repeatedly stated that the younger generation is our future and the foundation upon which our country develops. Therefore, it is our duty to create an environment where every young person can maximize their knowledge and achieve self-realization.
As the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, I am dedicated to ensuring that Georgian youth become even more competitive. We focus on implementing programs that will help young people enhance their knowledge and acquire the skills needed for their professions. This, in turn, will help increase the employment rate among young people in Georgia.
Since youth policy has become an integral part of our education system, we have introduced many new initiatives for young people. However, this is just the beginning; we will implement even more diverse support initiatives for the next generation in the coming year.
I am delighted to have met many talented children and young people recently. I interact with students almost daily, and I can confidently say that our country has a truly exemplary, distinctive, and progressive youth who will undoubtedly contribute to Georgia's advancement and development!
To all young people, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations on this day. I am proud of each of your achievements, and I wish you all the best in your lives. I promise to do my utmost to help you implement your innovative ideas and initiatives for the benefit of our country and its people.”
