Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia announces the opening of a contest aimed at gaining scholarship for Master and Doctoral (PhD) programs in higher educational institutions abroad.

With the help of “Master and Doctoral (PhD) Program” and based on an open contest, students are given an opportunity of doing Master and PhD degree programs in leading universities of the world with the help of the State.

 Eligible candidate for “Master and Doctoral (PhD) Program” must:

1. Be a citizen of Georgia, holder of neutral ID document or a neutral travel document,
2. Have an admission letter from priority higher education institutions abroad approved by the Commission and included in

Master Program

• Criteria for applicants

Eligible candidate for Master program scholarships must:

• Have a Bachelor degree
• Have admission to higher education institution abroad
• Age limit: up to 35
• Have a high academic performance

 Application requirements:

Those who wish to participate in an open contest for Master Programs are required to fill in the electronic application form on the official web-site of the Ministry (www.mes.gov.ge) which contains the following information:

• Personal data
• Education record
• Detailed information on diplomas and certificates
• Work experience
• Contact information of minimum two reference persons
• Amount and destination of the requested sum of money
• Motivation letter

• Criteria for applicants

Eligible candidate for PhD program scholarships must:

• Have admission to higher education institution abroad
• Have partial scholarship of minimum 50% 

Application requirements:

Those who wish to participate in an open contest for PhD programs are required to submit to the Ministry the following documents: 

• Application
• CV
• Copies of diplomas and certificates
• Reference letter from employer
• One academic and one professional recommendation
• Motivation Letter
• Amount and destination of the requested sum of money
• Admission Letter from a higher educational institution abroad
• A letter proving gaining of minimum 50% scholarship
• Copy of ID card/ neutral ID document or/and neutral travel document

Applications shall be submitted from December 2, 2013 to February 28, 2014.
 

• Note: Those candidates who wish to apply for a scholarship for Master and PhD programs and do not have a diploma for previous academic level are able to submit a document on academic degree awarding. Fourth year (senior) Bachelor students are eligible for participation with the condition of submitting copy of diploma by the time of signing a contract.

The contest shall be conducted in two stages: 1. Selection of application. 2. Interview

The applicants will be informed regarding the interview upon the end of application submission process by means of electronic communication or a phone call.

Distance interview shall be organized upon the request of an applicant.
