San Diego State University Advisory Board meeting was held, attended by US Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly, the Ministry of Education and Science Minister deputy George Sharvashidze, MCC head of Georgia's Kateri Clement, MCG CEO Magda Magradze and San Diego State University dean Ken Walsh attended.
The boards, which members are from business organizations, enterprises and academic institutions heads summarized the work done during the first year of San Diego State University. Discussed ways to enhance cooperation with the business sector, students in internship and employment prospects.
Also at the event were presented the San Diego State University students inventions and innovative projects.
In 2015, San Diego State University branch of Georgia accepted the first students. Technological and engineering fields in many successful students were enrolled in undergraduate programs offered by American. They include exams of the highest-ranked student David Soselia, in mathematics with the highest score Luke Lomtadze and Dachi Gogitidze, in chemistry with the highest score Anna Shalmberidze. Also, Intel ISEF-'s 2015 World Competition fourth prize place owner Nika Alavidze, whose invention between of the world 7 200 000 projects won the fourth place and other successful young people.
San Diego State University (SDSU), the Millennium Challenge Account - of higher education component of Georgia, carries a high-quality, internationally accredited undergraduate programs in engineering and technology (STEM) fields. These programs will help the country in the fields of natural science and technological development and highly qualified staff. The project is being implemented by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) second compact financial support.
