Within the framework of the project “Advancement of Vocational TVET Programs of in Georgian Civil Aviation”, the Georgian Aviation University has held a conference in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science. The aim of the conference was to advance the vocational TVET programs of the Georgian Civil Aviation and to introduce the opportunities of private sector involvement in vocational education for the business sector.
At the conference, the Georgian Aviation University has presented the renewed professions funded by the Second Compact signed by and between Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and the Government of Georgia.
Within the framework of the project, the Georgian Aviation University will conduct the vocational education programs from September 2017 in the following directions: commercial pilot, aircraft and aviation engine maintenance engineer (B1), aircrafts avionics service aviation engineer (B2). As a result, the flight simulator for practical training of helicopter pilots will be purchased and the training material-technical base for the practical training of B1 / B2 aviation engineers will be established. Teachers and instructors will be trained according to the regulations of the requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
