The issue initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia concerning full compensation of sick leave to teachers is valid. The Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia satisfied the request and the Order №87/N of the Minister was amended correspondingly.
According to the Order, the rule for determination and issuance of assistance due to temporary disability for public school teachers was amended. According to the new approach, the sum of the sick leave will be calculated from the sum of the teacher’s salary and supplements. In particular, in compensation of the sick leave, the salary of the teacher as well as supplements and overtimes will be summarized.
