Mikheil Batiashvili – the Minister of Education, Science,
Culture and Sport addressed the winners of the International Education Center’s
scholarship competition and spoke to the graduates of the program regarding the
ministry’s general vision, as well as the importance of using their
intellectual capacity for the benefit of the economic and public development of
the country:
"Your participation for the development of our country is of paramount
importance, as it will help Georgia to answer the upcoming challenges of the
future. We will have specific offers, and we will be delighted if you can bring
your knowledge, experience and fresh ideas to specific fields”. The minister
also welcomed the creation of the Center’s Alumni Association and emphasized
its major role in the implementation of significant reforms planned for the
education system.
The meeting was held in a dialogue mode. Mikheil
Batiashvili was interested in the future of the scholarship program and
promised its representatives maximum support.
The Advisor to the Prime Minister - Mikheil Chkhenkeli, and the Executive
Director of the Center - Nino Chelidze attended the meeting.
