With the agenda of having a further cooperation and sharing the experience, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and its department of internal audit, have invited their Estonian colleagues on a working visit to Georgia.
Within the scope of the European Union Technical Assistance project, a seminar was held regarding the regional media, labor market and vocational education. The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava, held a meeting with the journalists, and discussed all the important reforms that was implemented with the start of the new academic year, and all the other new projects that are planned in the vocational education system.
The first deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Ketevan Natriashvili held a meeting with the Ambassador of France to Georgia – Pascal Meunier, the representatives of the French Embassy, and the representatives of the Paris – Sorbonne Abu Dhabi University.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava, held a meeting with the regional director British Council – Andy Williams and the director of British Council in Georgia – Zaza Purtseladze. During the meeting, the sides have reviewed the long-standing fruitful relationship between the two parties, in conjunction with outlining future plans, which will enhance the popularization of the English language in Georgia.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava continues his meeting with the teachers in the regions of Georgia. This time, the Minister held a meeting with the teachers of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo-Svaneti, where approximately 1,000 attended the meeting. Prior to the meeting, The Minister awarded the successful students of the 10th grade with the personal computers.

A Rectors’ Council session was held at Shota Meskhia State University, which was traditionally led by the Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava. Various heads of the state and private higher education institutions participated in the Council of Rectors.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia continues to visit the schools in the regions of Georgia. This time, Minister Jejelava visited public school N1 and N2 in Zugdidi, as well as a public school in Rukhi, and a private school of Jiji. Aleksandre Jejelava got acquainted with the teaching process in the reginal schools in addition with awarding successful students of 10th grade with personal computers.
A final stage of young research and innovators contest – “Leonardo Da Vinci” was held at the exhibition hall at TBC Bank’s Central Office. The winners of the Grand Prix, first, second and third place were announced. The Contest is held with the support and administration of the Shota Rustaveli National Foundation since 2010.
A working meeting was held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, regarding the issues of the non-formal education recognition. The meeting was opened by the first Deputy Minister of Education and Science – Ketevan Natriashvili.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia hosted the newly appointed Ambassaor of Austria to Georgia – Axel Wech at the Ministry of Education and Science.
