The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia has established the registration and examination schedule for individuals seeking to complete classes I-XII through external study. Interested individuals can register for the exam from February 27 to March 13, 2024, with exams scheduled to take place from March 18 to March 29, 2024.
To be eligible to take the exam, an individual's age must correspond to or exceed the age group of students in the class to be completed through external study, and they must have successfully completed the educational program of the previous class.
For external registration, an adult applicant or legal guardian of a minor applicant must submit an application to the resource centre along with the required documentation within the specified registration period, following these guidelines:
I. If the individual attends a school, they must submit their application to the resource centre serving the area where the school is located.
II. If the individual does not attend school, they may submit their application to any resource centre of their choice.
The list of required documents for exam registration at the resource centre includes:
a) Application from the applicant or legal guardian indicating the following details:
- Name, surname, and contact information (address, phone number, email) of the individual seeking education through external study.
- The specific class(es)/semester(s) of general education and subject(s) the individual intends to complete through external study.
- Preferred language for taking the external exam.
- Foreign language(s) required for the external exam, if applicable.
- Optional subject from the national curriculum the individual wishes to complete through external study.
b) Copy of the individual's birth certificate or identity document.
c) If registering for an exam to complete a specific class(es)/semester(s) of general education through external study, a document confirming mastery of the general education program for the preceding class(es)/semester(s).
d) If the individual received education abroad, a document verifying completion of the relevant educational program, recognized in accordance with the law.
e) If registering for an exam to complete subject(s) included in a specific class(es)/semester(s) of secondary level general education through external study, a certificate from the school confirming the need to complete the general educational program for the subject(s) in external study.
