Within the framework of „International Week of Science and Innovations”, an international conference was held titled as " Lithuania and Georgia from retrospective of a 520 year". The conference was dedicated to the several centuries long friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
During the conference, the topics such as deepening cooperation between the countries in the education and science fields, implementation of the exchange programs and joint projects between the higher educational institutions were discussed and also interesting discussions occurred on other topics.
The Conference was organized by the Technical University of Georgia and the Lithuanian Language and Culture Center in Georgia and The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze and Lithuanian Ambassador to Georgia Giedrius Puodziunas participated in the work of conference.
According to Lithuanian Ambassador to Georgia Giedrius Puodziunas,, it is important that two distant countries with different language and culture share very warm relations and he is pleased that at the conference, the discussion were held on the topics of education development between the two countries. Mr. Ambassador stated that these types of meetings are indeed very important for the future relations between the countries.
