Who is eligible to enroll in the VET program?
Any person has right to receive vocational education if s/he has passed the basic step of general education, has undertaken vocational test exams and if the selected profession requires, has met additional requirements envisaged in the professional standards.
When and how can I register for VET programs?
Every year, during spring and autumn periods, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia announces the registration period for people who want to enroll in VET programs.
Interested persons can register at MoES regional educational resources centers and any state institutions implementing VET programs countrywide. People seeking registration shall present the ID document to the resource center. Registration is also possible online, on the web-site- www.vet.emis.ge

Why should I register for several programs?
Due to the current competition in the area of VET programs, it is possible that the candidate may not enroll in his/her desirable program. If the applicant makes several choices, the risk of not being enrolled will decrease.
How to get in the primary/next level of the VET program?
After the registration process is over, in order to enroll in the primary level, the applicant has to pass the professional test exam organized by NAEC.
The applicants registered for the next level, will undertake test exams organized by the college itself.
People with disabilities can register in accordance with the above-referred procedures, however, they will receive an alternative form of professional testing, which means evaluation of compliance of their skills with the VET program.
Apart from the Georgian language, are there any professional tests provided in other languages?
Professional test exams can be passed in Georgian, Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijanian languages. Note: in case of passing the professional tests in any other language, the student will have to undertake a Georgian language module after which, s/he will be able to continue studies in VET program selected.
How can you change the choice?
After the results of professional tests are published, the applicant has some time to change the final rating list of VET programs in the registration application. Besides, the applicant can add the VET college/colleges and the VET program/programs which s/he had not selected before.
Who can reserve the score?
Any person, who failed to enroll in the VET program at the first level, has right to reserve the score s/he has received in the test exam organized by the center and use it at the next exam but only once.
How can funding be obtained?
After passing the test exam organized by NAEC, if the applicant overcomes the minimum margin of competences, s/he will obtain state funding and will receive vocational education for free of charge or with co-funding at any institutions carrying out VET programs.
What does a modular program mean?
Modular educational program consists of general, voluntary and mandatory modules where each module means a completed competence. Modular educational programs are result-oriented and individual needs-based. The study process gives an opportunity to the students to make analysis, act, learn, share and use knowledge and make decisions.
