Within the framework of the state program for vocational training/retraining and increasing of qualification of job seekers, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia began acceptance of the applications for short-term training and retraining programs.
The institutions providing the vocational education programs, which are willing to get involved in the “state program for vocational training/retraining and increasing of qualification of job seekers”, must submit a short-term training/retraining program to the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia until May 16. It should be noted, that the institutions providing the vocational education programs and the job seekers will be jointly eligible to get involved in the “state program for vocational training/retraining and increasing of qualification of job seekers” for the first time this year.
Short-term training and retraining programs should be developed in accordance with the demanded professions approved by the Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia (see the Appendix).
Short-term vocational training-retraining programs, along with other important components, must include information about duration of the program (days and astronomical hours), the number of users of the program (minimum and maximum number), the learning outcomes, the ratio of practical and theoretical teaching, the cost of the program (the price per user, considering both minimum and maximum number of beneficiaries in the group). In addition, the program jointly developed by the vocational education program implementing institution and the employer organization shall determine the costs to be incurred by each party, implementing the program (based on the learning outcomes).
