English language volunteer teachers, who work in Georgia through the program “Teach and Learn with Georgia,” visited the Kakheti region and took part in winemaking. Teachers from USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain and countries of Europe picked grapes at the vineyard of the professional college “Aisi”. They then proceeded to prepare the first batch of wine of the season.

In order to strengthen instruction of the English language, English language cabinets will be opened in the schools of Georgia. The Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation organized another international scientific conference. The conference was held in the National Center for Manuscripts over a 4 day period. The process of distributing net-books is underway. All school throughout Georgia will be provided with net-books by September 15. 3500 net-books have been delivered to Adjara region and now they are being distributed to all schools of the region.

From 2011-2012 academic year, 1700 schoolchildren of Tsalenjikha will continue studying in rehabilitated school buildings. This year, 8 schools of Tsalenjikha have been completely rehabilitated. 7 of them are located at the administrative boarder of Abkhazia. One group of Georgian schoolchildren is back to Georgia from United Kingdom where they took oart in two-week intensive English language summer schools. Overall 32 schoolchildren, in 4 groups will go to Great Britain. They have been selected out of those 600 schoolchildren who had showed the best results in school Olympiads.
