The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli, together with the Rector, Nino Taliashvili, inaugurated the Hall of the Constitution of Georgia at the European University.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Georgia, Rina Kalyurand , where the parties discussed the ongoing projects at all levels of education, in conjunction with prospects for expanding the existing cooperation.

Owing to the decision of the Coordination Council, from February 15 the educational process in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Rustavi secondary schools will continue in classrooms. According to the recommendation of the Ministry of Health, the epidemiological situation was once again assessed, and the 7-day infection rate dropped below 4%.

Within the scope of the Georgia-US Strategic Partnership, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, and the US Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan, signed an online agreement to enhance cooperation in science and technology.

The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia, together with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Mikheil Chkhenkeli and local government officials, visited the newly built public school in the village of Zeda Sakari, Zestaponi Municipality and congratulated the students and teachers on returning to the classroom.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli hosted the Ambassador of France to Georgia, Diego Colas. During the, the parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of education, development of Kutaisi International University and the French-Georgian University.

Owing to the decision of the Coordinating Council, and taking into account the current epidemiological situation, from February 1, the teaching process will continue in classrooms at schools throughout the country, except Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Rustavi.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a meeting with the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Ruslan Abashidze and the Minister of Education and Culture, Eka Khoperia and discussed current and future joint projects with them.
