The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli opened the National Vocational Education Week (Skills Week Georgia) in an online format. The week, which aims to analyze the current challenges in vocational education due to Covid-19 pandemic, evaluate the steps taken in this regard and discuss potential prospects, started today, and will continue until December 10.

To prevent  the further dissemination of the novel COVID-19 virus, owing to the decision of the Interagency Council, Between November 4-25, distance learning will strictly remain in place for the following cities: Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Telavi, Zestaponi, Gori, Gardabani, Poti and Marneuli. The learning process is also carried out remotely in the region of Adjara.

Another vocational college has been added to the list of vocational education institutions in Georgia. Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, together with Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Irakli Mezurnishvili, Majoritarian MP of Kaspi Municipality opened the vocational college.
