National Center for Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (MES) has held a Greenery Event for the commemoration of the “Day of the Earth.” The first Deputy Minister, Koka Seperteladze has participated in the event.

Embassy to Georgia, general course in American Studies has been
developed at Tbilisi City Hall main library.
Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22. In this regard, Young
scientist organized the conference dedicated to Earth Day at Tbilisi
Technical University. The topic of the conference was the development of
electro mobile and other types of transportation.
President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili together with the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini and Head of National Forensics Bureau, Giorgi Khizanishvili have opened a new unique laboratory.
SROs have joined construction of Queen Virgin Church at “Makhata” mountain. 300 SROs have been cleaning the church site all day long. SROs have planted Cypress trees in the vicinity of the site as well.
Minister
of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini and Minister of Sport and
Youth Affairs Lado Vardzelashvili met the participants of students’ summer
employment program “Summer Jobs” and talked about the goal and importance of
the program.
New
vocational college “Akhali Talga” was opened by the President of Georgia
Mikhail Saakashvili and Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri
Saakashvili in Kobuleti. School buildings have been refurbished with modern
equipments.
The Minister of
Education and Science, Mr. Dimitri Shashkini held a meeting with one of the
Ministers of State of the German Federal Foreign Office, Mrs. Cornelia Pieper, who
paid a working visit to Georgia.
Georgian participants won third place in Microsoft Partners in
Learning European Forum 2012, held in Lisbon, Portugal. Overall, 82
projects were presented.
About 600 student participants of the “Summer Jobs” program will be employed in the medical sector. They will be able to work at hospitals and clinics throughout Georgia.
1st grade online registration has started. From April 2 through April 17, registration was only held for 1st graders registering at the schools where their siblings study or parents work. From April 17 till June 17, registration will be accessible at other schools.
SROs wished happy Easter to a large family of Nebieridze who have 9 children. The resource officers presented them Easter Gifts and spent a day with the children.
On April 14th, President Saakashvili met with teachers involved in the program “Georgian Language for Future Success” and their Azeri and Armenian students. Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili talked about the importance of knowledge of the state language and prospective projects and programs in the field of education.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini visited Tbilisi Boarding School #200, wished them a Happy Easter and presented them with Easter Gifts. As a part of this event, the schoolchildren made a presentation of their hand-made works and gave a small concert for the guests.
