The
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, held the
briefing for the journalists at the press-club “Prime Time”. As Minister stated,
in 2011 Ministry was implementing projects in 42 directions.
The
First Deputy Minister, Koka Sepherteladze, awarded the winners of the contest“The
goal of my life”. The
contest was organized in two rounds for two age groups (VII-IX; X-XII-th
graders) and up to 100 000 schoolchildren participated in it.
The Minister of Education and Science
of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, highlighted the achievements in the education
field and introduced a strategic plan of 2012 to the invited guests including
the MPs, university rectors, scientists, principals of the school and
vocational colleges, school resource officers, students and the representatives
of NGO sector.
Minister of Education and Science
of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini met the winner of the TV show “Imedis Gmiri”,
Professor of Teheran University, Philology of Georgian language Said Muliani. Minister
presented Said Muliani with net-books and text-books for the Georgian Sunday
School founded by Said Muliani in Freidan.
Representatives of the National Center for
Teacher Professional Development visited Chiatura Boarding-School #12. They wished
them happy holidays and presented them with sweets and toys.
Construction
of the new school will begin soon inthe Village of Shibliani, Sagarejo
Municipality; the Minister, Dimitri Shashkini and representatives of the local
municipality observed the construction site.
The national team of Georgia
returned from Bulgaria with two gold and one bronze medal. President of Georgia Mikheil Saskashvili
awarded with IPADs 11th grader Jimsher Skhirtladze, 10th
grader Nika Nadiradze and Nikoloz Svanadze for achieved success in Informatics.

Saakashvili met 150 teachers that are involved in the program “Georgian
Language for Future Success” and discussed with them the results of the
program.
The
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini and Chargés d’affaires of the Embassy of Apostolic Nunciature
(Vatican Embassy), Philipo Champanelli visited
the catholic family of Apriamashvili, wished them Merry Christmas and presented
the family with the gifts.
The
representatives of the National Center for Quality Enhancement under the
Ministry and the Mayor of Kutaisi, Giorgi Tevdoradze together with TV anchors
Duta Skhirtladze and Shorena Begashvili visited Kutaisi Boarding School #42 for
the Children with Hearing Impairments and wished the kids happy coming New
Year.
Construction of the new school will

Municipality; Deputy Minister, Giorgi Chakhnashvili and representatives of the
local municipality observed the construction site.
The Minister of Education
and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini and Governor of Kvemo Kartli, Davit
Kirkitadze opened one more Georgian Language House in Marneuli. The modern
building equipped with all necessary assets has been specifically built for
Georgian Language House.
The chairperson of the National Tourism Agency, Ms. Maia Sidamonidze and
the school resource officers presented the primary grades students of
the First Experimental School with the child friendly animated maps.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini is
paying an official visit to Switzerland. As a part of this visit, he
held a meeting with the Head of the State Secretariat for Education and
Research (SER), Mauro Dell’Ambrogio.
Delegation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is paying
an official visit in Switzerland. In the scope of the visit Minister
Dimitri Shashkini, Director-General of European Organization for Nuclear
Research (CERN) Rolf-Dieter Heuer and Director of Joint Institute for
Nuclear Research (JINR), signed the document of Joint Co-operation in
High-Energy Physics and Related Technologies.
