Information day of program “Horizon 2020” was held to the direction of information and communication technologies, where the presentation on the topic “Rules and Advices on Participation in Program Horizon 2020, Current Competition, Activities of Marie-Skladowska-Curie, SME Instrument and Twinning Activities” was presented.

Batumi private multi-profile secular school “Gorda”, founded in 2002, has moved to a new, well-furnished and modernly equipped building. Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava and Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of Adjara Inga Shamilishvili congratulated the new building to the school management, teachers and pupils and examined the educational environment.

Vocational college “Lakada” is completely rehabilitated in city Jvari, Tsalenjikha region. The vocational education institution equipped according to the modern standards continues functioning with renewed infrastructure.

Within the scope of the visit to Samegrelo region, Ministers - Aleksandre Jejelava, Levan Izoria and Giorgi Gakharia opened the memorial of Merab Kostava in village Akhuti, as well as paid the visit to the public schools of villages Akhuti, Mukhuri and Kirtshi and met with the locals.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Government of Estonia, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Foundation “Innove” on a three-year partnership for the purpose of preschool and general education reform in Georgia.

The members of the Board of Trustees of European Foundation and Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC) met with the Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Education and Science Aleksandre Jejelava and got acquainted with the performed innovations and future plans of the Ministry. For the 2017-2018 academic years, the II stage of the universal electronic registration of first grade pupils will begin on May 8 at 9:00 a.m. on the website: www.registration.emis.ge. 

The Board of Directors of public and private schools is set up with new members once in every three months, and new members are elected by the directors themselves. The regular session of the renewed Board was held today, which was traditionally opened by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Aleksandre Jejelava talked about all the important novelties and then the members of the Board presented the issues provided for under the agenda, each of the issues and the ways of their solution were discussed.
