The first stage of the joint educational project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Ministry of Defence - the subject - "Defence and Security" has been completed. 

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is actively working on the development of a unified strategy and action plan for education and science for 2022-2032 under the leadership of Minister Mikheil Chkhenkeli. International and local experts from the European Union and the World Bank are actively involved in this process. 

Georgia is hosting the 34^th International Tournament of Young Physicists after a 25-year pause. The tournament will be held at Kutaisi International University on July 8-14. The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli participated in the opening ceremony of the tournament remotely and wished success to the young people.

Registration for vocational education programs starts on July 12 and will continue until August 20. Registration is possible online, on the website - vet.emis.ge, as well as in resource centres and institutions implementing vocational education programs throughout Georgia. 

Ekaterine Dgebuadze, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia held a working meeting with social workers of the education system, where the parties summarized the results of the two-month activities of social workers at schools and discussed the challenges and achievements during the process. 

Working with the visually impaired and partially sighted students is a kind of challenge for Tamar Tabidze. At school, she is not only a teacher, but also a "student" - she learns Braille with the help of children.

With the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Shota Rustaveli State University of Theatre and Film, together with the School of Theatrical Costume and Accessories Vocational School conducted various vocational training programs on "Theatrical Costume Tailoring" and "Theatrical Costume Accessories and Quilt crafting".

In order to interest young people in science, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is planning a special event in the Adjara region called "Blue Maritime Policy", which will be held in the open air on September 21 in Batumi.

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Eurasia Week organized an online seminar on Competitiveness as part of its Competitiveness Program, the main topic of which was the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises in Georgia.

A methodological guide has been developed within the framework of the Inclusive Learning Promotion Program to provide a supportive learning environment for students with special educational needs.

On the first day of the national exams, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli visited the examination canters in Tbilisi and wished success to the entrants. Today, the entrants take the first exam in Georgian language and literature.
